Yes. When you use your  Stackry address with any US retailer, you are arranging delivery to a US address. This allows you to access all American retailers, even ones that don’t offer international shipping. Just pay the retailer’s US shipping rate at checkout (which is usually free)  and when your packages arrive at Stackry you simply login to request your package(s) are shipped to your door in the UK. .  Thanks to your Stackry address, you’ll be exempt from US State sales tax on some products, too, which will save you another 8%.

Thanks to your US delivery address, you won’t need to pay US state sales tax, but you may need to pay tax when your package enters the UK. VAT (Value Added Tax) is payable on most products, with a few exclusions, for example books and children’s clothes. VAT is calculated on the package cost, that is the value of the product as well as shipping costs and sometimes handling costs.

As well as VAT, duties are payable for items over £135. It’s important that you know what you might need to pay to prevent delays at the border, so check what you’ll be liable for before you start shopping. When you ship with Stackry, you’re in charge of the service that you choose, which means that you can see the costs as you go. You can choose your preferred carrier from our list of trusted partners, which includes DHL and FedEx, as well as the service level that you want; if you’re not in a rush, slower services will usually be cheaper. Once you’ve chosen the delivery service that you want, the shipping costs will be calculated based on the size and weight of your package, so it’s important that you make the information as accurate as possible if you're using the shipping calculator to estimate costs.

Shipping from America to England will vary depending on the delivery service that you choose. There are 3 things to consider; the time it takes for your package to arrive at the Stackry operations center (ground service in the US is 3-8 days), the Stackry consolidation time (2-4 days) and the level of international shipping service you request can take anything from 3-8 days, up to 30 days. Connect by FedEx, for example, will take 10-15 days while FedEx International Priority estimates delivery in 2-5 days. You can compare shipping methods, their etas and prices when you enter your shipping details.

Stackry’s free storage at our secure operations centre means that you can shop in your own time, without worrying about making sure that all your packages get to your locker together. This will give you time to think about whether or not you want to consolidate multiple orders. You can even ask friends if they want to have orders delivered to your Stackry address so that you can share shipping costs.
